About Me

I am a compassionate and dedicated child & young person psychotherapeutic counsellor, fully registered with the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy — as a member of its College for Child and Adolescent Psychotherapies — and the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy. I studied at the Institute for Arts in Therapy and Education in London, achieving a UKCP-accredited Diploma in Child Psychotherapeutic Counselling.

My work with young people began over 20 years ago in the nurturing environment of children's homes, where I learned the profound impact of early experiences and the value of supportive relationships. This experience laid the foundation for my commitment to child and adolescent mental health, and led me to train as a therapist  —  the young people I see come from all kinds of circumstances and face a wide range of challenges.

Since qualifying in 2019, I have worked as a therapist, closely with schools, Surrey, Brighton & Hove and Sutton local authorities, and in my own private practice — helping young people aged 6–25 build resilience and emotional wellbeing.

Beyond individual therapy, I support those who care for children — offering consultations for parents, kinship and foster carers, and children's home staff, and drawing on 15+ years developing and delivering training for carers and professionals. I've also written published articles and a book chapter on issues affecting children in care.
