Training
I believe passionately in helping children & young people who are experiencing social, emotional and mental health difficulties, and those who care for them. I am equally dedicated to furthering the understanding of other professionals, and society generally, about the issues that can impact on some young people and how best to support them.
With over 15 years' experience developing and delivering training and workshops, for clients including Surrey County Council, West Sussex County Council and several independent children's homes and fostering services, I combine psychotherapeutic theory and understanding grounded in real world experience during 20 years of direct work with children and young people.
I can provide training for schools, children's homes, fostering and adoption agencies, local authorities and any other organisation concerned with the welfare of children and young people.
Topics I cover include: attachment, developmental trauma, understanding self-harm, how to have helpful conversations with young people, therapeutic thinking, therapeutic parenting, relationship building, and reflective practice. All of the training I offer will be tailored to the needs of your organisation.
If you think I might be able to help your employees or organisation, please contact me for an informal, no obligation discussion.
